As you may have heard, Flavor has undergone lots of changes recently!
While our commitment to quality, creativity, and variety will always remain the same, we’re constantly striving to make the Flavor experience better and better. Our expansion, completed in January of 2020, gave our talented bakers & decorators, committed managers, and friendly front staff entirely new ways to let their strengths shine.

Shelley opened Flavor in 2010 with one mission:
“to combine quality, care and creativity in the preparation of our cupcakes so that they become more than something to just satisfy a sweet craving…Flavor Cupcakery is all about bringing a smile to people’s faces, making an ordinary day a little more special, and enjoying a flavor sensation that’s worth the splurge!”

Becca has been with Flavor since 2017.
She actually doesn’t have a background in baking; rather, her education was in fine arts & communication – but she has definitely found many ways to put those skills to use in our shop!
Outside of work, she enjoys anything artistic (music, painting, crafting, etc). and all things spooky. Her favorite day of the year at Flavor is Halloween!

Lauren is known for a few things among the Flavor staff: her love of dogs, her relentless Ravens fandom, her obsession with all things Luke Bryan, and her fantastic skills as a cake decorator.
With her passion and enthusiasm, she’s always bringing new ideas to the table and finding new ways to challenge herself.

Allissa’s fun and creative personality is reflected in her skill as both an executive pastry chef and a leader. With her can-do attitude, she does a great job at creating a positive environment for our kitchen staff. Allissa has a particular interest in creating especially wild cupcakes – like our Sour Patch Watermelon flavor!
We can’t wait to see what else she accomplishes at Flavor and beyond..

Amber is responsible for all of the fabulous, handmade fondant detail you see on our specialty cakes and cupcakes. She also assists with the production of other items, like cake pops, push pops, parfaits, cookies, & more!
But her resume doesn’t stop there – Amber is also an accomplished and talented painter, sculptor, and illustrator outside of work.
She also has a passion for vintage style, and was even named Baltimore’s Best Hon at Honfest 2016!

Our front staff works tirelessly to keep things running smoothly for our customers, and we have a great mix of characters on our team to get the job done! Mady and Kiley are both known for their sweet, soft-spoken personalities. If you’re a regular customer, chances are you’ve seen their smiling faces before!

In addition to baking some of our other shop products (like brownies, flavor bars, etc.) AND decorating cakes, Jess has definitely made a name for herself as our cookie expert. All of the decorated cookies we make for the shop and for special orders are baked and hand-piped by her alone – sometimes hundreds a week!
Her craftsmanship and attention to detail is hard to beat, and she says making them is her favorite thing to do.

Allison’s specialty! She works all day long making our delicious macarons – averaging about 2,000 each week! Her calm and cool demeanor lends itself nicely to this kind of production. Macarons are not easy to master, and she certainly has! We truly don’t know how she does it.
Like many of her coworkers, outside of work, Allison is an avid animal lover and she even fosters kitties in need of homes!

These are just some of our wonderful team members! We’re also extremely grateful for our additional assistant pastry chefs, prep chefs, front staff employees, and of course, our incredibly hard-working overnight bakers.
They’re the ones working through grueling shifts in the wee hours to make sure we have our daily supply of beautiful cupcakes (so early, in fact, that we can never even get here soon enough to capture photos of them in action!).
Together, we hope to bake the world a better place –
one cupcake at a time!
