Last month, we were thrilled to be involved with a very special party for Tyler, a local man who overcame a shocking and scary cancer diagnosis. Not only were we honored to be a part of such an incredible celebration, but we were reminded just how versatile desserts can be. Sweets aren’t only for birthdays anymore – they can be the perfect touch to any happy occasion.
Spring is a great time to embrace all that life has to offer – and of course, that includes babies! Gender reveals are already keeping us busy here at Flavor this season. This past weekend we were lucky to be a part of a very touching gender reveal celebration for a very sweet expecting couple who happen to be loyal Flavor fans!
For Linda and Mike, this reveal for their 3rd and final baby was a big deal. With two young boys already, they were anxious to find out whether they’d be giving their little ones another brother or a baby sister! We designed them this simple yet beautiful cake to cut with friends and family on Easter Sunday. Beneath that pristine layer of vanilla buttercream was a telling pink or blue filling. With all eyes (and cameras) on them, they excitedly cut the cake for the moment of truth…

It’s a girl!
Mom’s face really says it all – Linda & Mike’s home will now be complete with the addition of a sweet baby girl. Can’t you just feel their excitement from the photo?
