and some occasions are particularly meaningful to be a part of.
Nothing makes us happier than celebrating people who deserve it the most! Last month we posted about our involvement with Icing Smiles, an organization that pairs bakeries with children and families affected by serious illness to make them amazing custom cakes; and we always invite our customers and followers to connect us with similar causes in the community. We were honored to be a part of a special party this past weekend for a man named Tyler. Here is Tyler’s story, courtesy of Living Radiant Photography:
“Tyler and Heather are one of our 2016 wedding couples. We met them at a Bridal Show, shot their wedding a year later, and have become amazing friends. The weekend they celebrated their first anniversary together in September, Tyler found out he had cancer. He spent the next 6 months doing Chemo and we continued to pray with these guys. They were over our house almost every week, sometimes late into the night. We came alongside them to encourage them, love them, pray over them, and believe for the miraculous. When the doctors went to look at his scans half way through, there was absolutely nothing on the scans. They could find no cancer anywhere. These two are champions, dear dear friends of ours, and we were so pumped to be included and asked to host his surprise cancer survival party!“
Like the talented folks at Living Radiant, we were also thrilled to be a part of such an important moment for Tyler and his loved ones! It really goes to show how desserts go beyond birthday parties, weddings, and holidays. Sweet treats can be used to embrace all that life has to offer. You truly can add Flavor to ALL of your celebrations!
